Here is a video that I shot and edited of Thomas Chatt’s photo shoot at London College of Fashion. Thomas Chatt also made and styled the clothes worn by the model, Leonardo Immanuelle from Oxygen Models, who was amazingly talented and a pleasure to meet.
A friend and fellow student at University of the Arts London Central Saint Martins’ campus had an idea for an interactive marketing campaign for a re-release of “28 days later” as part of a project. Everything was done in less than 12 hours; from finding the actors, doing hair and make-up, transportation to and from locations throughout central London and filming and editing. I shot and edited the video into a mini trailer for what looks like an entirely different film we decided to title, “Infected”. Hope everyone in cyberspace enjoys!
Unbearably lovely music is heard as the curtain rises, and we see the woods on a summer afternoon. A fawn dances on and nibbles slowly at some leaves. He drifts lazily through the soft foliage. Soon he starts coughing and drops dead.
Last night I watched Quentin Tarantino’s “Django”. I have to admit I am a fan of Quentin Tarantino like most people who enjoy cinematic adventures. Django personally falls near the top of the list for favorite Tarantino’s films. The film follows a head hunter who befriends, and eventually makes his partner, Django. Django, played by Jamie Foxx, is a slave who is determined to be reunited with his wife, a slave at the “Candy Land” plantation. Through out the film there are struggles between good and bad, moral and immoral, racism and violence. It’s easy to root for Django and his quest for finding his wife while laying waste to the countless white slave owning racists. I won’t say too much more and encourage you to see the film for yourself, you won’t be disappointed.

This is a photo of two of my friends and fellow Lake Erie College students studying abroad. Cheryl is studying abroad in Paris and Alex is studying abroad in London like myself. It was great getting to spend the day in Paris with friends from the same College back home and especially because we are all art students. I was looking forward to visiting the Hotel Scribe in Paris because this is where the Lumiere brothers held the very first public movie screening in 1895. It was formerly Le Salon Indien du Grand Cafe but even after it’s transformation into what it is now, a hotel, Hotel Scribe opened a restaurant called “Cafe Lumiere” in honor of the Lumiere brothers.
This is a great short that was recommended to me by a friend Chris Butchart. At first you find the characters that ride the elevator comical and/or a bit weird. As the short progresses you begin to learn a little bit more about each of them and develop a sort of relationship. By the end I was more intrigued by each of the characters and wanted to know more about them, becoming more attached to the people and more detached from the fact that I was watching a video on youtube.
Here is an old throw back video. Last March I went to Puerto Rico with Lake Erie College and this is a trailer to the video I made while we were there.
